Description: A person was reported missing in floods and storm that hit a Mediterranean province on Monday [08.02.2010], reported on Tuesday. A 51-year-old person, Mustafa Dolapci, who climbed a tree to avoid being dragged by floods triggered by torrential rains in Antalya, was reported missing, eyewitnesses said. However, teams rescued 30-year-old Ali Riza Turktas who also left the car and climbed to a tree on Antalya-Manavgat highway which was closed to traffic as three brooks overflowed. Helicopters rescued 17 people, including six children, who were living in the same "Abdurrahmanlar" region. Torrential rains also flooded some houses, agricultural fields, and greenhouses, and destroyed ovine animals and poultry in Antalya's Aksu town and some villages.
