Futures edge up after claims data
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stock index futures edged higher on Thursday, after data showed that fewer than expected Americans filed for unemployment benefits in the latest week.
Jobless claims fall sharply last week
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits fell more than expected last week, which could ease fears of a marked deterioration in labor market conditions after a surprise stumble in job growth in March.
Japan carmakers recall 3.4 million vehicles for Takata airbag flaw
