Futures gain on China data; Syria concerns remain
NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stock index futures advanced on Monday in the wake of upbeat economic data from China, though concerns remained about the possibility of a Western strike against Syria.
Koch Industries to buy Molex for $7.2 billion
(Reuters) - Molex Inc, a maker of electronic connectors and cable assembly products, said privately owned energy and chemicals conglomerate Koch Industries will buy it for about $7.2 billion.
Suntory to buy GSK's Lucozade, Ribena drinks for $2.1 billion
LONDON/TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan's Suntory Beverage & Food Ltd is to buy GlaxoSmithKline Plc's Lucozade and Ribena brands for 1.35 billion pounds ($2.1 billion) to help it expand into new markets.
WTO cuts 2013 world trade forecast to 2.5 percent
GENEVA (Reuters) - World trade is expected to grow by 2.5 percent this year and 4.5 percent in 2014, the World Trade Organization's new chief Roberto Azevedo said on Monday, revising down previous estimates of 3.3 percent and 5 percent.
Vodafone urges Kabel shareholders to accept $10 billion bid
