Stock futures edge up ahead of payrolls report
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stock index futures rose on Friday, following the strongest day of the year so far for equities, and ahead of the key government reading on payrolls for January.
U.S. employment fails to rebound strongly from winter chill
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. employers hired far fewer workers than expected in January and job gains for the prior month were barely revised up, suggesting a loss of momentum in the economy, even as the unemployment rate hit a new five-year low of 6.6 percent.
