Description: The HSE is warning about an outbreak of measles in the south of the country after 26 children were struck down by the illness in counties Cork and Kerry in just the first few weeks of the year. That compares with just five cases for all of 2008. The HSE is advising parents to ensure their children are immunised against the potentially fatal disease. Many of those recently infected had not been vaccinated with the MMR jab.
