Situation Update No. 1 Posted:2010-01-07, 04:44:10 [UTC] Ref.no.: VI-20100107-24462-SGP Situation Update No. 1 On 2010-01-08 at 11:50:42 [UTC] Event: Vehicle Accident Location: Singapore About 45 nautical miles off Singapore Number of Deads: 7 person(s) Number of Missing: 4 person(s) Situation: Singapore says seven Indonesian crewmen have been found dead after a tugboat sank earlier this week off the coast of the city-state. The Maritime and Port Authority said Friday that the air force and navy are continuing to search for four still missing. Two were found alive on Wednesday, the same day the boat went down off Pedra Branca island. There was no word of the condition of the survivors. The island is 55 kilometres off the county's east coast. Officials are still investigating why the Singapore-registered Ocean Lark sank.
