Location: United Kingdom Northern Ireland Northern Ireland-wide Situation: 30,000 homes are still without power in Northern Ireland following the extreme weather conditions on Tuesday night. The worst affected areas are Omagh, Derry, Coleraine and Ballymoney. Last night, Northern Ireland Electricity spokeswoman Natasha Magee said damage to the network remains extensive with hundreds of faults still to be dealt with. Meanwhile, an ESB spokesperson has said 250 households in border areas are still without power. Crews hope to have electricity restored by lunchtime.
