Stock futures tick up as dollar eases, jobless data due

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks rose modestly on Thursday as the dollar slipped with investors continuing to adjust expectations of further monetary stimulus, while data on the labor market was due later in the morning.

Exxon quarterly profit up 55 pct, tops Street

HOUSTON (Reuters) - Exxon Mobil , the world's largest publicly traded oil company, said on Thursday its quarterly profit rose 55 percent, surpassing expectations, as higher crude prices boosted results in its exploration business.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - JPMorgan Chase & Co and HSBC Holdings Plc were hit with two lawsuits on Wednesday by investors who accused them of conspiring to drive down silver prices, and reaping an estimated hundreds of millions of dollars of illegal profits.

Nissan to fix 2.14 million cars in 3rd biggest recall

TOKYO (Reuters) - Nissan Motor Co said on Thursday it would recall 2.14 million March/Micra, Cube and about a dozen other models in its third-biggest recall, to fix a faulty ignition relay that could cause engine problems.
