Wendy's/Arby's posts small loss on weak sales

DETROIT (Reuters) - Fast-food chain operator Wendy's/Arby's Group Inc on Friday posted a small quarterly loss on weaker-than-expected sales and warned 2010 results would finish at the lower end of its previous forecast.

PARIS (Reuters) - Planemaker Airbus warned airlines and investors on Friday of possible delivery setbacks for the world's largest airliner in the wake of last week's A380 engine blowout, denting its recovery from a long spate of delays.

Icahn ups Dynegy stake, offers $2 billion credit line

BANGALORE (Reuters) - Billionaire investor Carl Icahn increased his stake in Dynegy Inc to 12.9 percent, said he will vote against Blackstone's proposal to buy the debt-ridden power company and will offer a $2 billion line of credit to the firm. Private equity firm Blackstone agreed to buy Dynegy in August for $543 million, or $4.7 billion including debt, but the deal must win shareholder approval at a meeting scheduled for November 17.

Kuwait transfers 8 Boeing 787 orders to Saudi Arabia

CHICAGO (Reuters) - Boeing Co said on Thursday it lost eight orders for 787 Dreamliners in the week that ended November 9 but gained eight after the transfer of orders from one customer to another, leaving the order book for 787s basically unchanged.

Private banks keep hiring as rich get richer

LONDON (Reuters) - Private banks will sharply expand headcount in coming years to capitalize on the growing number of wealthy individuals in Asia, dismissing concerns that aggressive hiring is out of sync with a tentative recovery in revenues.
