North Korea shells South in fiercest attack in decades

INCHEON, South Korea (Reuters) - North Korea fired scores of artillery shells at a South Korean island on Tuesday, killing two soldiers, in one of the heaviest attacks on its neighbor since the Korean War ended in 1953.

EU urges feuding Ireland not to delay budget

Hope for NZ miners bleak as footage shows blast

GREYMOUTH, New Zealand (Reuters) - Hopes of finding 29 men trapped in a New Zealand mine alive were rapidly fading on Tuesday, with footage of the blast at the mine four days ago showing debris flung out of the shaft like a bullet from a gun.

Alaska candidate Miller sues over Senate election results
