Futures briefly pare losses, economy weighs
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stock index futures briefly pared losses on Thursday after data showed fewer Americans filed for unemployment insurance in the latest week than Wall Street expected.
New jobless claims fall sharply to four-year low
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits last week fell sharply to the lowest level in four years, a hopeful sign for the struggling labor market, government data showed on Thursday.
