Description: Over 400 employees attached to a garment factory in Gemunupura, Mahiyangana were admitted to the Mahiyangana hospital with a history of food poisoning after consuming the noon meal supplied by the factory Wednesday. Hospital sources said the employees had symptoms of fever, vomiting and nausea on returning home after work. Samples of the noon meal including a fish curry had been sent for investigation and report. Mahiyangana Police along with officials of the Ridimaliyadda DMOs office are investigating.
