Stock futures dip on Europe, Japan growth data; Cisco weighs
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stock futures fell on Thursday in the wake of weaker-than-expected growth data from Europe and Japan and a disappointing outlook from technology bellwether Cisco Systems .
Berkshire Hathaway, 3G Capital to buy Heinz for $23 billion cash
(Reuters) - Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway Inc and 3G Capital will buy ketchup maker H.J. Heinz Co for $72.50 a share, or $23.2 billion in cash, Heinz said on Thursday.
Jobless claims drop exceeds expectations

Merck to pay $688 million to settle Enhance lawsuits
(Reuters) - Merck & Co on Thursday said it has agreed to pay $688 million to settle two U.S. investor lawsuits over disclosures of the results of a clinical trial involving the anti-cholesterol drug Vytorin.
AB InBev revises Modelo deal to meet U.S. objections
