Yen steady, euro dips after G7 urges against FX war
LONDON (Reuters) - The yen hovered near three-year lows against the dollar and the euro fell on Tuesday after the G7 nations urged countries to refrain from competitive devaluations and a U.S. official backed Japan's new anti-deflation policies.
UK fines UBS $15 million for failings in AIG fund sale
LONDON (Reuters) - UBS has been fined 9.45 million pounds ($14.80 million) by Britain's financial regulator for exposing customers to unacceptable risk when it sold an AIG investment fund in the latest blow to the Swiss bank's battered reputation.
Barclays to ax 3,700 jobs as new boss lays out revival
