Description: At least 98 cattle were killed at the locality of Evale district, following the floods hitting the district of Kwanhama, southern Cunene province, Angop has learned. The information was supplied to Angop on Wednesday by the head of the veterinarian services, Estêvão Kamalanga, who stated that beside the 98 cattle, another 29 goats also died in the floods. According to a report from the Commission of Civil Protection in Cunene, the floods hit more hardly the districts of Cuvelai, Ombadja and Kwanhama. Official sources say 12,000 people were affected by the floods, as 5,805 students lost their schools, 400 fields destroyed and many houses washed away.
