Description: Twenty-four passengers were injured after the SuperCat 23 vessel crashed at the Batangas Port on Friday evening. The incident occurred at around 6:40 p.m., according to initial reports. Injured passengers were brought to the Batangas Provincial Hospital and the Golden Gate Hospital, according to Batangas Port authorities. According to SuperCat, the accident was due to a technical problem in the ship. SuperCat said the accident was not due to the miscalculation of the captain, as some passengers claim. However, one passenger said that after the accident, instead of the ship's crew asking for help, it sailed away from the port and was at sea for another hour. The company said they will take care of the injured passengers. The ship originated from Calapan, Oriental Mindoro.
