NY bomb suspect probed for links abroad

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Investigators questioned the suspected Times Square bomber hoping to uncover links he might have had to foreign militant groups and U.S. media said he could appear in a New York court on Wednesday.

NOAA:1 of 3 Gulf well leaks halted but oil flow same

MIAMI (Reuters) - One of three leaks from the ruptured Gulf of Mexico undersea well owned by BP has been capped, but oil is still flowing out at a rate of 5,000 barrels (210,000 gallons/795,000 liters) per day, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) said on Wednesday.

DUBLIN/LONDON (Reuters) - Airspace over Scotland and Northern Ireland will be closed from early Wednesday because of volcanic ash that closed airports in Ireland on Tuesday and could threaten summer holiday travel.

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has agreed "in principle" to Brazilian mediation to revive a U.N.-brokered nuclear fuel swap deal with world powers, the semi-official Fars news agency said on Wednesday.

Somali pirates hijack China-bound oil tanker

NAIROBI (Reuters) - Somali pirates on Wednesday hijacked the Russia-owned oil tanker MV Moscow University bound for China 350 miles off the coast of Yemen with 23 Russian crew and crude oil worth $52 million on board.
