Obama to knock Republicans and emphasize jobs Thursday

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama on Thursday will urge Congress to move forward on new job creation measures and pounce on Republicans for "obstructing efforts to rebuild" the U.S. economy, a White House official said.

AMSTERDAM/TRIPOLI (Reuters) - Aviation experts arrived in Tripoli on Thursday to scour the scattered remains of an Airbus jet that crashed in the Libyan capital and killed all but one of the 104 people on board.

Los Angeles to boycott Arizona over immigration law

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Los Angeles officials on Wednesday approved a ban on future business with Arizona in protest against its crackdown on illegal immigrants, becoming the largest U.S. city to impose such an economic boycott.
