Hurricane Earl strengthens in Caribbean

MIAMI (Reuters) - Hurricane Earl strengthened as it began buffeting the Northern Leeward islands in the Caribbean on Monday and was seen becoming a powerful storm within the next 24 hours, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said.

BP's internal probe faults its own engineers: report
