Description: Authorities are responding to a train derailment in Baltimore County. CSX spokesman Bob Sullivan says eight cars derailed at about 10:30 a.m. Friday. Sullivan says the 60-car freight train with two locomotives was traveling from Cumberland to Philadelphia. Sullivan says there were no injuries and no hazardous materials involved. He says cleanup crews are on their way. The train was hauling scrap, sheet rock and plastic materials. Baltimore County and Howard County fire and rescue services also are on scene. Sullivan says officials are looking into what caused the derailment. Amtrak says the incident is not affecting its service. Natural Resources Police spokesman Sgt. Art Windemuth says an area of Patapsco Valley State Park near the site of the derailment is closed to accommodate emergency equipment.
