Situation:

Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality (LNV) Gerda Verburg has decided, in relation to Q fever, to declare a full ban on the transportation of dairy goats and dairy sheep. Until now, all milk-producing sheep and goat farms, including more than 50 animals, have been allowed to introduce vaccinated animals. In line with the wish of the House [Parliament], Minister Verburg has now prohibited the introduction of animals into all milk-producing sheep and goat farms. This applies to both vaccinated and non-vaccinated animals. Starting Fri 18 Dec 2009, 0700 pm, until 1 Jul 2010, transportation of such animals is allowed only to fattening farms/holdings or directly to slaughterhouses.
