Two persons were killed in Ghazipur, one death each was reported from Bhadoi, Basti and Auraiya, official sources said. The Met office said Kanpur, which recorded a minimum temperature of 3.2 degree celsius, six notches below normal, was the coldest place in the state, followed by Lucknow, where the mercury level dipped to 4.4 degrees, three degrees below normal. The low in Varanasi was 7 degrees, two marks below normal while Rae Bareli recorded a minimum of 4.8 degrees, they said. Bahraich experienced a night temperature of 8.1 degrees, one notch below normal.
