Situation:

The strong 8.8 earthquake that has just South-central Chile has not only cut power and telecommunications in large sector of Chilean capital, but also generated a tsunami wave that may be destructive. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has issued a tsunami warning for Chile and Peru, and has recorded a tsunami wave as high as 9 feet (almost 3m). A tsunami watch has also been issued for Ecuador, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica and Antarctica. According USGS reports, the earthquake magnitude was initially reported at 8.3 then 8.5, and it is currently estimated in 8.8 in Richter scale. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center will be issuing hourly updates regarding this tsunami. According to recent telephonic reports, residents at some Lima beaches like Asia are currenrly evacuating the coastal areas.
