Description: Several people were injured late Tuesday when a surge of people caused a barricade to collapse during a free concert at Vancouver's David Lam Park. The barricade faltered when a crowd of Olympic partygoers surged forward during a set by Canadian band Alexisonfire. A statement released by the City of Vancouver stated about 19 individuals were injured when the barricade collapsed, and nine were taken to hospital for further assessment. The rest of the concert was cancelled along with a planned fireworks display. The city said entire barricade will be replaced, and the site will reopen Wednesday.
