Description: Flash floods and house collapses, triggered by torrential rains, left five people dead, one of them a woman, and three injured in Jammu region since last evening. As many as 23 houses, shops and cowsheds collapsed due to heavy rains in the region, officials said. One person was killed in a snowstorm in Manjui belt in in Doda district while a woman was swept away by a flash flood in Kachi river in Reasi district. One person died each in Reasi, Kathua and Batote districts as heavy downpours flattened their homes, the officials said. Three people were injured in different rain-related incidents in the region during the period, they said.
