The airconditioned bus (LWK 155) driven by Magno Galleros, 48, was traveling toward Davao City when it suddenly swerved to the opposite lane of the highway. “The bus must have been very fast as the driver was trying to avoid another bus it was tailing,” Superintendent Giusseppe Geralde, city police chief told the Philippine Daily Inquirer. Police said the driver who also sustained minor injuries immediately surrendered. The rest of the victims were rushed to Davao Regional Hospital in Barangay Apokon here for treatment.
