Event: Flash Flood
Location: Peru Province of Leoncio Prado Tingo Maria

Situation:

More than 2,000 houses were flooded by the waters of the Huallaga river, in Huanuco, according to the latest estimates done by the regional committee of Civil Defense and regional authorities, reported RadioProgramas del Perú (RPP). The same radio informed that 1,850 families were affected, as well as more than 1,800 hectares of crops of cocoa, banana, corn and rice, Civil Defense Committees and groups from the National Food Aid Program (Pronaa) are delivering blankets and meals to those affected. Also, today five tons of humanitarian aid is are expected to arrive, including mattresses and kitchenware, sent to the affected people at the left margins of the Huallaga river.
