Description: Twelve people, including 11 students, were injured Tuesday morning when a truck collided with a Charlotte-Mecklenburg school bus in northwest Charlotte. Kristin Young, a spokeswoman for Medic, the county's emergency medical service, said none of the injuries was serious. A spokeswoman for CMS said the bus, No. 106, was taking students to Whitewater Middle School. The wreck happened shortly after 8:30 a.m. in the 5200 block of Freedom Drive, near Toddville Road. Medic's Young said injured people -- the bus driver and students -- were taken to either Carolinas Medical Center and Presbyterian Hospital for treatment. Another 40 students who were not injured were transfered to another bus and taken to school. Police have not said if any charges will be filed in the case.
