Description: An American Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration N695AN performing flight AA-724 from Maracaibo (Venezuela) to Miami,FL (USA) with 114 passengers, ingested a vulture into its right hand engine (RB211) while climbint out of Maracaibo in a northerly direction above the botanical garden and a landfill. The right hand engine lost power following the impact prompting the crew to return to Maracaibo, where the airplane landed safely about 30 minutes later. The flight was subsequently cancelled.
