Description:

Wind and rain across the Costa del Sol have lead to mass destruction, roads being cut off and people trapped in their cars. The worst-affected areas are Marbella, Estepona, Málaga and Ronda, where fallen trees and walls have blocked roads and torrential rainfall has flooded garages, houses and underbuilds. A tree fell down yesterday on the A-404 in Alhaurín and a balcony fell down onto the street in Estepona, although luckily nobody was hurt in either incident. Emergency services were working flat-out on Thursday night and yesterday morning, rescuing people from vehicles and houses they were trapped in, among other incidents. Many similar rescues had to be carried out by firefighters in the .
