Situation:

A commuter train hit a buffer at Zagreb's main railway station Monday injuring 50 people, at least one seriously, police and doctors said. The train was arriving from Sisak, some 60 kilometers (37 miles) southeast of the Croatian capital, when it "failed to stop due to still unknown reasons," a police spokeswoman said. The accident occurred at 5:26 am (0426 GMT), spokeswoman Aleksandra Ljuba said. The train hit a concrete buffer, the state-run news agency reported, adding that one of the injured suffered life threatening injuries. Most of the injured escaped with bruising and pulled muscles.
