Situation:

The Philippines has raised the alert level around the country's most active volcano. Lifting the rating on Mount Mayon to level four, authorities are warning of a possible hazardous eruption within days and has extended the "no-go zone" up to 10 kilometres. More than 450 volcanic tremors have been monitored in the past 12 hours and rumbling sounds have been heard at the base of the volcano. Some 40,000 people from the area have been evacuated to temporary shelters. Mayon volcano is the most active of the 22 volcanoes in the country and last erupted in 2006.
