Description: Three people have been sent to hospital after a viral outbreak at a Nottinghamshire residential centre. Skylarks in West Bridgford provides short breaks for people with disabilities and their carers. It has now been closed as a precaution. Fifteen people at the centre have had the unknown virus, the symptoms of which include sickness and diarrhoea. One of those treated in hospital has been released and the centre is due to reopen in January. Sarah Harper from Vitalise, the charity in charge of the centre, said: "We have a number of people who are ill at any one time and our procedures are to take precautionary measures and that is exactly what we have done. "We don't actually know what the virus is or what the cause of it is yet but we have taken the view, as a precautionary measure, that we ought to close the centre."
