Description: A tornado reportedly touched down in Gueydan, causing severe damage to two homes and at least one injury, according to the Gueydan Police Department. A man was trapped inside a home on Verda Street after a tornado touched down around 8 a.m., a dispatcher said. He was rescued by emergency workers and was being checked out at a local hospital. The storm also ripped the roof off a home on Eighth Street. Minor damage was reported to other homes and buildings near the water tower, including the 911 substation, the dispatcher said.
