Description: The carnage on Eastern Cape roads continued this weekend when 10 people died and 47 were injured in a bus accident near Ngcobo on Saturday and four died in a crash between two taxis near Tarkastad yesterday. Four children – one a pedestrian – were among the dead in the horror bus crash. The bus, carrying 65 passengers, hit two pedestrians and an electricity pole before overturning in a tavern yard. One passenger was decapitated. Beside the four deaths in the taxi accident yesterday morning, six others were critically injured. Arrive Alive spokesman Tshepo Machaea said the accident occurred on the R32, 30km from Tarkastad. One taxi was returning to Cape Town after dropping off passengers in Whittlesea. The second taxi was headed from Cape Town to drop people off in Willowvale. The injured were taken to Cradock Hospital.
