Situation Update No. 3 Posted:2010-01-15, 04:31:56 [UTC] Ref.no.: BH-20100115-24561-USA Situation Update No. 3 On 2010-01-27 at 06:05:34 [UTC] Event: Biological Hazard Location: USA State of Montana Marshall Ski Area (West) Situation: A pneumonia outbreak has hit a third bighorn sheep herd in Western Montana. Fish, Wildlife and Parks officials confirmed it in two young rams in the Lower Rock Creek herd today. Bighorns in the East Fork of the Bitterroot started getting pneumonia late last year. The Bonner herd caught the disease this month. Wildlife managers had to kill sheep in those herds to stop the disease from spreading, but now managers will let the pneumonia take its course in Lower Rock Creek.
