Description: Houses were flooded and roofs torn off, trees were uprooted and powerlines were demolished to the ground when a severe storm struck Odendaalsrus. Thousands of rands of damage was done. Experts say it was just a very strong whirlwind and not a tornado as some people thought not. Meanwhile the rain, which has fallen more than a week in the Goldfields and Northern Free State fall, causing flooding in and around many spots occur.
