Dhidhoo and injured them, during a thunderstorm. The four children were taken to H.A. Dhidhoo hospital and were given treatment for the injuries. Three of the children were discharged after being treated however, 1 child still remains under the care of the hospital due to the serious injuries caused due to the lightning incident. Dhidhoo Police Station reported that this incident happened when the 4 children (two under the age of 18 and two 18 years of age) were playing outside an abandoned house in Dhidhoo in the thick of the thunderstorm. Moreover, part of Dhidhoo lost electricity during the thunderstorm.
