Description: An earthquake rocked parts of Taiwan on Saturday and local television reported that one building had collapsed. The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake had a magnitude of 6.5 and was centred just off east coast of Taiwan, 20 miles (12 km) south-southeast of Hua-lien. The time of the quake was 9.02 pm local time (1302 GMT) and it was centred 46 km (28 miles) below the earth's surface, local TV said, adding that one building had collapsed near Taipei.
