Description:

At least 94 people are suffering from lead poisoning in China’s Sichuan Province - most of the victims are children. According to state-run media, nearly all live near the Zhongyi Alloy Company in Neijang city, and authorities ordered the lead factory to be closed. Cases of lead poisoning have come up across China, where ill enforced emissions and dumping regulations have taken a toll on public health. High levels of lead can damage the nervous system, the reproductive organs, and can be lethal.
