Description: The National Weather Service in Charleston SC, in conjunction with Beaufort County Emergency Management has confirmed a tornado near Bluffton in Beaufort County, South Carolina on April 8, 2010. At approximately 11:11 pm a weak tornado touched down 2 miles west of Bluffton in Beaufort County, South Carolina. The estimated maximum wind speed was 75 mph, making this an EF-0 tornado on the Enhanced Fujita scale. The tornado had a maximum path width of 20 yards. It moved northeast and was only on the ground for 0.15 miles. There were no injuries or deaths reported with this tornado. The tornado snapped off the tops of a few pine trees, some landing on and damaging vehicles, tore off some aluminum flashing, knocked down some fences, destroyed a shed, and damaged a swing set.
