Description: The U.S. Coast Guard says around 450,000 gallons of crude oil has spilled into the Port of Port Arthur area after two vessels collided. No injuries have been reported, but part of the port has been closed. U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer Renee Aiello tells The Association Press that a 600-foot tanker carrying oil collided with a towing vessel pushing a loaded barge Saturday morning. She says that the collision left a 15-by-8-foot hole in the tanker. The towing vessel then ricocheted and hit anther tanker, which was tied to the pier. She did not know what damage was caused to that vessel. She says that a portion of the oil in the damaged tank has been moved to another holding tank on the ship.
