Description: Over 100 people were hospitalised in Gujarat's Rajkot district Monday after they showed symptoms of food poisoning, officials said. Within an hour of the sumptuous feast at Ahmedbhai Umarbhai's house in the district's Jasdan town to celebrate an engagement, the guests reportedsymptoms of food poisoning. Panic spread at the Jasdan Government Civil Hospital as violently sick people began turning up in a steady stream. Health authorities immediately sought help from the regional government hospital at Rajkot and a medical team was rushed to Jasdan. The situation was under control and the patients were showing signs of recovery, official sources said. There have been no fatalities so far, they added.
