Description:

A bus ran a red light Saturday evening in Denver, colliding with a car and pickup truck in a crash that has left more than a dozen people injured, police said. Two of the 16 people injured in the crash Saturday were in critical condition, said police spokesman Matt Murray. Several others were seriously injured, although Murray could not confirm how many. Murray said the crash happened at about 5 p.m. after the Regional Transportation District bus blew a red light. The Denver Post reported that the bus pushed the pickup into a parking lot and rammed it into a pole. Keith Napodano, who was returning from a snowboarding trip Saturday, told the newspaper that he was traveling behind the bus when he and his girlfriend saw it "punch through the red light." "I watched the blue car get T-boned and all the windows exploded," Napodano said. "It did a full 360 and a half." Murray could not confirm how many passengers were on the bus. It was not clear whether the two people in critical condition were on the bus or were riding inside one of the two other vehicles.
