"Due to the two blasts in the Moscow subway...the police have tightened control in the Moscow subway, train stations and other crowded areas, personal identification has also been made stricter," the head of the chief administration of internal affairs, Viktor Biryukov, said. On Monday morning, two blasts rocked Lubyanka and Park Kultury subway stations in the center of Moscow during the rush hour just after 8:00 a.m. At least 37 were killed and 25 injured in the blast. The blasts that hit the central Moscow metro system on Monday morning were the equivalent of two kg of TNT each, Moscow prosecutor Yuri Semin said.
