Description:

A Saudi student makes his way home from school early Sunday afternoon, covering his face as the sand whipped up by winds approaching 40 kmph becomes ever thicker. (Right) The Makkah Expressway gradually clears of traffic as Sunday’s storm brings visibility down to as little as 50 meters. The Met Office forecast heavy rains for Madina, Hail and Tabuk, while Jeddah received light showers late in the night.
