MONTCOAL, West Virginia (Reuters) - An explosion ripped through a West Virginia coal mine owned by Massey Energy, killing at least 25 miners in the deadliest U.S. mining disaster since 1984.

XIANGNING, China (Reuters) - Chinese rescuers on Tuesday pulled five bodies from a flooded coal mine and searched for 33 missing men a day after the "miracle" rescue of over 100 fellow miners who endured a week underground.
