Description: Homes at Bendigo in central Victoria have been inundated after flash flooding throughout the city. The Weather Bureau has recorded 50 millimetres of rain in the area since mid-afternoon. The SES has fielded more than 140 calls for help. Spokesman Graeme Poulton says a group of people were forced to leave a house in Kangaroo Flat. "We had one house... [where] the householders had to leave the house, because it was inundated," he said. "They were relocated elsewhere and went to friends. The other thing we had was an old persons' home which was threatened at one stage, but that has eased now." People are being advised to call 132 500, if they need assistance.
